Honduras Mission Trip
Honduras is the second-biggest country in Central America. This Spanish speaking country is rich in history. This is a 3 out of 5 in difficulty due to it being Spanish speaking and also the US state department travel advisories. The city that we do ministry is very safe, and you are always with local people. Our ministry partners are Honduran and know the culture and how to keep groups safe. Most mission sites will not lead out with this type of information, but as you will find out, we are different.
You will find the Honduran people warm and loving! They hunger for the Lord. Due to some of the internal issues, Honduran has not prospered as other Latin-American countries have. This has left a vast chasm between the haves and the have-nots. When you have nothing the gift of God’s love is more precious than ever.
Some fun odd facts about Honduras. Honduras has a small island called Roatán. Roatán sits on the Gulf of Mexico side and is English Speaking. Roatán is the best-kept secrets of the Centrals. The very talented singer Daniela Andrade is Honduran and lives in Canada. The last odd fact is the Honduran people do not point with their fingers. They point using their lips!
Ministry teams are needed. This is the father of the MissionTripS girl. I had the honor of praying with him. This young father is trying to provide for his family. There is much need in Honduras Therefore Go!
This 7 day trip is $495 per person.
This is a package price and includes your travel days.
The price does not include airfare from and to your destination. The trip includes a shopping/sight seeing day. The teams will fly into one of two airports San Pedro Sula or Tegucigalpa and will travel to Jesús de Otoro in Intibucá and stay in a hotel. Photos of the hotel are below.
Roatán is one of Honduras’s Caribbean Bay Islands. Part of the huge Mesoamerican Barrier Reef, it’s known for its beaches, dive sites and marine life, including whale sharks. In the southwest is busy West Bay Beach, with a coral reef near the shore. Cruise ships dock in the capital of Coxen Hole and nearby Mahogany Bay. To the east are smaller settlements, including the Garifuna village of Punta Gorda.
We can add on a trip to Roatán. If you add Roatán, then your mission trip becomes a purpose-filled vacation. The prices for Roatán change so much so we can not quote the price on the website. Just let us know if you would like to add this to your mission trips and we will let me know the per person cost. You are talking about $600 to $900 depending on the length of the stay and the time of year you go.
